Kuwait City: Ambassador of India to Kuwait Paramita Tripathi held a meeting with Mr. Mohammad Al-Mannai, Acting Director General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), at the KUNA headquarters in Kuwait.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to further strengthen India–Kuwait cooperation in the fields of media and information, as well as to explore avenues for expanding institutional cooperation between media organisations of the two countries.

A key focus of the discussions was strengthening institutional-level relations between Indian and Kuwaiti media organisations and identifying opportunities for greater cooperation and professional exchange.

Media cooperation holds particular importance in the context of the longstanding and friendly relations between India and Kuwait. Strengthening mechanisms for news exchange, information sharing and professional interaction between media institutions can contribute to enhancing mutual understanding and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed possibilities for further developing institutional linkages between KUNA and Indian media organisations, with a view to promoting closer cooperation in the media and information sectors.

India and Kuwait maintain close relations across several areas, including trade, investment, the welfare of the Indian community and cultural exchanges. Against this backdrop, greater cooperation in the media and information sectors can further contribute to strengthening the broader relationship between the two countries.

The meeting between Ambassador Paramita Tripathi and KUNA Acting Director General Mohammad Al-Mannai reflects continued efforts to enhance media-to-media engagement and institutional cooperation between India and Kuwait.
