Kuwait City: The ‘Viksit Bharat Run’ was organised at Boulevard Park in Salmiya, Kuwait, on 2 October 2026, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. The event focused on India’s development journey while promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness and a spirit of social unity among the Indian community.
Members of different sections of the Indian community in Kuwait participated in the programme. The morning run witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of different age groups, including young people and senior members of the community.
One of the key objectives of the event was to popularise the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ while encouraging physical fitness and greater awareness of healthy living. As the event was held on Gandhi Jayanti, it also highlighted values associated with Mahatma Gandhi, including cleanliness, healthy living and discipline.
The participation of people from different sections of the Indian community added to the spirit of the programme. Participants came together to express their support for India’s development and progress while promoting a message of unity and collective participation.
The event also provided a platform to encourage greater participation of the Indian diaspora in India’s broader development vision and to take the message of ‘Viksit Bharat’ to the overseas Indian community.
